Journey between Light, Darkness and Materiality
Site-specific Installation
Mirvach Gallery, Israel, 2024/25

This site-specific installation was created in Israel while a cruel war raged in the whole region. The artist made a conscious decision and chose not to lament the horrors of this war but to explore the universal activity of the two poles - light and darkness - and the interaction between them and the material world. The installation, created as a result of the artist's investigative process, reveals the story of a journey. The story unfolds along a path in space and describes diverse and changing interactions between darkness, light, matter, forms and shadows. It touches upon universal processes of beginning, growth, transformation, destruction and redemption.

Thoughts and Observations by the artist concerning the creation of art at times of war, his creative process as well as a video documenting some stages of the creation of the installation can be found on the page "writings".
